Whether yachts or special ships, ships made by Abeking & Rasmussen (A&R) Schiffs- und Yachtwerft AG are regarded as the Rolls Royce in the area of shipbuilding and have been renowned worldwide for their design, quality and technical perfection for more than 100 years now. The German company based in Lemwerder, Lower Saxony, is a pioneer in the area of shipbuilding and has produced around 6,500 vessels, developing a great number of technical innovations and making the impossible possible.

Among the latest innovations are the so-called SWASH vessels with the small waterplane area single hull technology. SWASH@A&R is a further development of the approved SWATH@A&R technology and stands out due to its special seaworthiness and perfect maneuverability and handling characteristics.

“We are the worldwide market leader for SWATH technology, and with the further development SWASH, we have once again proven our spirit of innovation and our many years of knowledge in the area of shipbuilding,” says Karsten Fach, sales manager and member of the board of A&R. “I am sure that we will score internationally with SWASH@A&R.”

A&R was founded in 1907 by Georg Abeking and Henry Rasmussen. Back then, the shipbuilder became renowned for building the world-famous Hansa-Jollen. Today, the company builds yachts and vessels for the navy, authorities, the offshore industry and private persons at its location in Lemwerder, where about 430 people are employed.
